Mankind has long since lost its connection to nature…. Are we really to believe that 3rd world countries don’t have the ability to get ahead? That because their culture is not run by rampant materialism they must be uncivilized?
Why can’t we restructure cities to be more efficient, why can’t we restructure education to engage children’s interests and stimulate them into whom they were meant to be, why can’t we move away from coal, oil, uranium to geothermal, and hydro.

To say ‘resource-based economy’ you would be labeled a communist, socialist, or likewise.

Insisting every year that we take more from the earth even quicker, turn it into even more things, sell more things, consume even more things, throw away even more things all to worship the real god of the modern world, economic growth.

All the necessities for survival are under the control of corporations. We are a society saddled under the control of systems that dictate who gets food, water, electricity. The world is dependent on those who run that system all for their own benefit.
